About Us

More than twenty years of competitive badminton in South Dublin — built on high standards, genuine camaraderie, and a love of the game.

What drives us

We take our badminton seriously. Every season our teams compete hard across Men's, Ladies', and Mixed grades — and we've had our share of success along the way. But beyond the results, what keeps people coming back year after year is the standard of play on club nights, the camaraderie in the group, and the satisfaction of being part of a club that actually cares about the game.

The club today

Today KBC fields multiple teams across the Leinster leagues, from Division 8 through to some of the higher grades. We train three nights a week at Knocklyon Community Centre — Mondays for team practice, and Tuesdays and Thursdays for club nights — and our members put in the effort to keep their game sharp throughout the season.

If you're Division 7 or above and looking for a club where the standard is high and the welcome is genuine, we'd love to have you.

Our story

Knocklyon Badminton Club was founded with a simple goal — to give serious badminton players in South Dublin a club they could be proud of. Over the years we've grown into a well-established club competing across multiple grades in the Leinster Badminton leagues, with a reputation for developing strong players and fielding competitive teams.

We're based at Knocklyon Community Centre in Dublin 16, with training three nights a week. Our members range from seasoned league veterans to players stepping up to competitive badminton for the first time — but everyone who walks through our doors shares the same love of the game.
